According to the Jungian Assessment those with the NINJA score are better in business analyst roles and tend to be skeptical and critical in decision making areas. Having a very independent and stubborn nature in both my work and personal life I believe the Jungian 16-type personality assessment supports my decision to further my education and enter the critical field of healthcare administration (Pearson Prentice Hall, 2007). Pursuing a master degree Is one of my top goals in life and an educational necessity when entering a new competitive career field.
A master degree shows dedication above and beyond what is often required and falls in line with the Jungian personality trait of being determined (Pearson Prentice Hall, 2007). According to many articles, those with an MBA will make higher incomes and hold higher titles within their organization over his or her lifetime (Chic, 1999). Having a friend that just graduated from her master program, I am confident In my abilities to succeed and land a coveted position In my dream field. Instantly upon her completion she received a rumination both In pay and title with her company In the healthcare administration area.
Having lost my previous job in marketing due to the economy spiraling into the abyss, I have also chosen the administration area of healthcare because of the recession-proof demand for services (Gaffe Hubbell, 2008). Currently I am in an entry- level position with Hospital Corporation of America Shared Services, health information management department. After applying for the last four months and not so much as receiving a no thanks reply, I decided to gain some experience In the lied while obtaining the educational background needed.
The Jungian 16-type personality assessment specifies according to my answers from many situation type questions that I am introverted, intuitive, thinker, and judging. I agree with all these statements. I am comfortable sitting at my desk most of the day analyzing paperwork, possibly thinking of a better way of doing things. In doing so I begin to formulate how that task could be accomplished and tend to Judge the way and reason that procedure or policy was Implemented. I expect Walt an Vance degree to learn additional problem-solving and analytical skills to hone my talents.
In conclusion, pursuit of a master in business administration with an emphasis in healthcare administration will open doors to enter a newly chosen career path, healthcare administration. With my increased knowledge in problem-solving skills through my degree I will be more attractive to employers. In taking the Jungian 16-type personality assessment I have found that my personality strengths support my decision and I am excited to undertake such a life changing endeavor.
